I'm getting ready to start pairing down the blogs I read, mostly because I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by by RSS aggregator and feeling the need to curl up with a good old-fashioned book too.
But... I just found a new must-read.
Dan Meyer of
Dy/Dan is a young California math teacher experimenting with new ways of teaching and assessing math. It's a new blog, so you can catch up quickly, but be sure to start with
How Math Must Assess. Personally, I'm interested to see what my SLA colleagues think of it.
Unfortunately, Dan hasn't updated in a while... maybe if we all leave him comments, he'll let us know more about how things are going.
